[VD: A deleted scene from the movie Lilo and Stitch. It’s almost entirely in greyscale, with the characters sketched out and see-through, except for two frames without any people in them depicting the tsunami siren in full color.

Lilo, a native Hawaiian girl, and Stitch are walking down the sidewalk, and there’s somewhat mischievous music in the background.

A tourist pulls up next to her in a car and yells, “Hey kid, where’s the beach?” Lilo points in the direction she’s walking, and the tourist says, “Ma-HAY-lo!” (a mispronunciation of the Hawaiian word for “thank you”), and drives off.

Almost immediately, another tourist drives up and yells more roughly, “Hey, speak English? Which way to the beach?” Lilo points in the opposite direction she’s walking, and the tourist drives off without another word.

Lilo approaches a woman sweeping the porch of a building which says, “Barber Shop + Post Office” on the window. The woman smiles and says, “Aloha, Lilo.” Lilo says, “Hi, Lani. Are they still testing the sirens today?” Lani replies wearily, “Ah, wei, any minute now.” Lilo replies, “Good.”

Lilo and Stitch run onto the beach. Jumba goes to follow them, but Pleakley holds him back. Jumba growls at this.

Lilo is shown on the beach surrounded by tourists, and one of them points at her and says, “Oh, look! A real native!”

Lilo yells at the top of her lungs, “Attention, tourists! That,” she points emphatically, “is a tsunami siren! It warns people when big, hundred-foot waves are coming! When you hear it, you better run, and I mean run, ’cause they move faster than the speed of sound!” And that!” she points emphatically at the tsunami siren again, “is your only warning!”

One tourist says, “Isn’t that cute,” as another one snaps a picture of Lilo and Stitch.

Lilo says to Stitch, “Sit up,” and helps him stand on his hind legs, and then, “Now put your arms out,” which she demonstrates, and Stitch follows suit.

She yells at the top of her lungs again, “Tourists! Prepare to die!!!” About two seconds later, the siren starts going off.

After a few more seconds, what’s happening sinks in and the tourists start screaming and scrambling up and away from the water as fast as they can.

Jumba says in a vaguely Russian accent, “Does girl control ocean?” and Pleakley responds, “How should I know?” Then they start screaming and run away too. Stitch smiles and laughs mischievously.

Cobra Bubbles stands motionless as the tourists around him panic. Someone yells, “Ah, tsunami!” and another tourist bumps into him as they’re running. He raises his eyebrows at Lilo. Lilo and Stitch lower their arms and Lilo seems maybe slightly ashamed as melancholy music plays. On the now-empty beach, she says, “If you lived here, you’d understand.”

i looooove pokémon npcs whose team members subtly imply something about them that's never touched upon in the story or at least never outright said. i love villains having friendship evos. i love trainers who commit hard to one aesthetic or vibe with their team (beyond simply sharing a type) and i love it even better when there's one random exception especially if that's their ace. i love when later down the line someone boxes the cute fun soft baby pokémon they used to have in favor of a seemingly stronger or scarier one to show that they're getting serious. i love when they have a pokémon that's difficult to get and raises lots of questions about them. i love it when the lore behind a pokémon fits the character to a T and i love it even better when it appears to contradict them. give me the story-gameplay harmony but better yet give me what appears to be story-gameplay dissonance but might actually have implications if we're willing to dive deep into it

I was searching up how ID cards work in Star Wars (on Wookiepedia) and one of the pictures that came up in the legends Tab. I don't know I just found it funny that a Wookie is using an Human ID as a fake.

Also apparently ID's only gained widespread usage after the rise of the empire, which I find interesting.
